Drinkers Paradise

Celebrity photographer Mario Testino was recently feted in Dallas at the new cocktail lounge inside the stylish and arts driven boutique Joule Hotel. Dallas’s most happening hotel is now home to a subterranean craft cocktail salon called Midnight Rambler which opened earlier this month. A welcome arrival for serious cocktail fans, Midnight Rambler is a swank speakeasy that’s sure to come with an air of high society- and possibly a visit from Mick Jagger. The LA-based boutique and design firm Ten Oversix created the interiors and famed mixologists, Chad Solomon and Christy Pope, designed a cocktail menu incorporating a laundry list of exotic infusions, syrups, and house-blended aromatic essences.

They had already shaped the cocktail lists at the hotel’s restaurant CBD Provisions, and lobby bar after moving to Dallas from New York- and their celebrated gigs. Two bars and several drinking nooks provide plenty of seating where you can find a cool spot to imbibe in standouts that include the Savory Hunter, a concoction of lemongrasss and kaffir lime-infused gin, coconut, cilantro and Thai chiles served over a mountain of Sonic Ice, and the Pho-King Champ, a one of a kind savory shot with an aroma that bears the uncanny resemblance to the Vietnamese soup. Seriously…who needs dinner after these drinks? www.midnightramblerbar.com www.thejouledallas.com
