Green Living

Susan Greenleaf is a San Francisco-based interior designer whose style reflects her East Coast upbringing mixed with a boho-chic European sensibility that draws from her Dutch mother, and a stint in London for nearly five years with her husband and young twins, now 8. She studied interior design at KLC School of Design in Kensington, and launched her company Greenleaf Design Studio in 2010 upon her return to San Francisco, a city she and her family now call home. Before doing interiors, the very chic Greenleaf worked in marketing at Banana Republic, and is now taking on the homes of the Bay Area high-tech elite, armed with clients who work for Apple and Google.

Once a local outpost of the French diplomatic corps, her home is both elegant and livable as her family defines urban living done right. When she isn’t scouring the city and beyond for her clients, Greenleaf- an intrepid shopper- favors March for chic kitchenware and tabletop items, De Sousa Hughes for lush textiles, Jay Jeffers’ Cavalier for interesting home goods, and artwork sourced from her friend Sabrina Buell, the art advisor in San Francisco. Looking ahead, Greenleaf Design Studio plans to launch Market, an online source for vintage one-of-a-kind and new inventory that will be available to the trade and public. Thanks to Greenleaf Design Studio’s bright and eclectic vision, it seems like San Francisco’s world of interiors is turning over a new leaf. www.greenleafdesignstudiosf.com
