Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa is the only four-season beachfront resort in all of Montauk and The Hamptons. George Filopoulos and Lloyd Goldman are the new owners of the sprawling hillside complex overlooking the ocean, which unveiled its new look over the Memorial Day weekend without a major hitch. The guest rooms have all been upgraded and there are 38 new suites which are beautifully appointed and include several amenities. All accommodations provide ocean vistas and Gurney’s also offers stand-alone cottages set directly in the sand with kitchens, working fire places and private decks. Filopoulos and Goldman have hired Food and Beverage director Jennifer LeRoy, the scion of Tavern on the Green and the Russian Tea Room, to create several dining options and a retail bakery.

The pristine 1,000 foot white sand beach is private, and you can swim in their sand-filled seawater pool overlooking the ocean- the only of its kind in North America. Vogue Magazine has named Gurney’s one of the best spa resorts, and this world class spa boasts an Olympic size saltwater pool, Roman baths, a full gym and more. Executive chef Seth Levine- Georgica, Sons of Essex– teamed with LeRoy for a new restaurant, The Seawater Grill, where he is creating an environment mixing molecular gastronomy, comfort food, and haute cuisine. The Beach Club delivers the only on-beach full-service restaurant and since LeRoy’s a pro at orchestrating a happening scene, there will be a DJ on weekends, as well as live music on the patio during the week.
