Plenty Pops are gourmet frozen pops crafted in small batches from a delicious mix of fresh fruits and vegetables. Although veggie intense they never sacrifice taste, as all ingredients are vegan, all-natural, and almost always organic. Founder Shawn Brennan was raised in a family of foodies and restaurateurs, and came up with the idea of Plenty Pops while trying to get her three small sons to eat fresh and wholesome food. Trained as a pastry chef in Paris and having worked in some of the best Michelin-starred restaurants in the city, Brennan started creating nutritious homemade baby food after she became a mom- when she returned stateside to San Francisco where she subsequently met her husband and started a family- that eventually evolved into these delish sticks.

Her kids devoured them and so did their friends, as well as her friends and neighbors, and then their friends, so Brennan finally decided to make Plenty Pops official and available to all. Holding their own against any treat around- healthy or not- Brennan never uses sugar or any unhealthy sweeteners and the little extra sweetness comes from natural fruit, its juice, or nutritious raw coconut nectar packed with vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Using ingredients that are seasonal, and with 8 flavors that include Yam Mango Orange, Avocado Coconut Cocoa and Pear Banana Kale Pistachio, Plenty Pops can be found- for now- at the Marin Civic Center Farmers Market on Sundays- the official launch was June 15- and the company is available for private catering. Brennan hopes to spread her pops everywhere as the company eventually grows, but scoring a Strawberry Beet, Butternut Squash Carrot Peach or Banana Kiwi Spinach Pineapple frozen treat is just a bridge toll away for San Franciscans. www.plentypops.com
