Wouldn’t it be amazing if your child could take a little spin on their scooter and wind up in Paris, Barcelona, Moscow, or even New Orleans? It appears they can, and as often as once a month, thanks to Little Passports– which by the way, is not a new time machine or even a phone app. These adventures around the US and the world is a subscription-only explorer kit and educational game, created by two moms as a means to enable arm-chair travel for kids. Amy Norman, a co-founder and co-CEO of Little Passports, came up with this concept due to years of traveling between England and the US as a child, literally growing up in-flight. Her own experiences of being a Brit studying in the US- where kids in the eighth grade didn’t know where England was, let alone Europe- left her with the need to inspire kids to learn about geography, history, culture, and language in a fun and memorable way.

Children ages 5 to 10 years old have Sam and Sofia as their guide to navigate them through a new country each month, should they take part in the World Edition. A kit which sits inside a suitcase will arrive by mail, where a letter addressed to your child from Sam and Sofia- as well as a map, passport, stickers, photos and souvenirs- can all be found. If just roaming around the USA is their desire, in this Edition kids who are 7-12 years old will have the ability to check out two new states every month- along with Sam and Sofia of course- armed with a USA field guide, pop-out models, and access to online activities. Although it’s a coincidence that Norman’s San Francisco office is literally located on the same block as the real US Passport Agency, Little Passports will most definitely instill a life-long curiosity and global awareness to those mini bon vivant’s who follow Sam and Sofia on their magical scooter rides. www.littlepassports.com
