While canvassing the streets for new and fresh discoveries, what normally catches my eye is what I don’t see..as I tend to agree with the adage of less is more. Since I favor a clean, uncluttered storefront- enticing me to investigate what’s hidden inside- I was curious to wander into Anyon Atelier on a recent visit to San Francisco. In search of something a bit under the radar that hasn’t quite hit the blog-ospherere yet- except here of course- I quickly learned that Lindsay Anyon Brier recently opened her chic Sacramento Street retail shop, sharing space with her residential and commercial interior design firm.
A selection of custom antique pieces, contemporary art, bespoke furnishings and accessories are edited in a sophisticated style which reads California cool. Brier founded her design firm in 2006, after a stint as head assistant designer for the leading SF antique dealer Foster-Gwin. Her beautiful, practical, and modern approach has granted her some of the Bay Area’s most prestigious clients, and even her own home was featured in this month’s Traditional Home. Inspired by her passions for art and traveling, Brier supports local artisans, craftsman and artists, and donates extra supplies to Quilts for Kids, among other organizations in need. Whether you’re seeking a small trinket for the home or turning your home into the trinket after a design re-haul, you should probably check out Anyon’s inventory. www.anyondesign.com
