Considered to be one of the most influential department stores in Japan, the upscale Isetan Men’s is located in Shinjuku, Tokyo’s busiest district. Nine floors await the intrepid shopper where a selection of traditional Japanese and global cutting-edge brands is both unbelievable and overwhelming for fashion-conscious males. From contemporary clothing, street wear to man bags, Isetan is the most fashion-forward of Tokyo’s department stores and is often first in dispensing new trends and new products. The store features designers such as Dior Homme, Tom Ford, Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy, and Maison Kitsune, as well as showcasing some of Saville Row’s finest tailors. Since this happens to be Japan- who doesn’t love a toy?- a special Be@rbrick set is available in collaboration with leading fashion designers that include Lanvin, Raf Simons, and Thom Browne.

Established in 1886, Isetan has branches throughout Japan and East Asia including Bangkok, Singapore, and Shanghai. It is also a women’s shopping paradise for designer goods, and known for its stunning food hall in the basement in addition to several floors of home wares. Isetan Men’s entire separate building recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of its innovative remodeling in 2003. Their Day Spa is a well-known destination for the best male grooming, and the 30 minute service- Precious Head Spa consists of a gentle oil massage of the scalp, shoulders, hands and arms, hot stone shoulder treatment, plus a head wrap, head sauna, shampoo and rinse. That and shopping? Add a blowout to the mix and I’d never be Lost in Translation. www.isetan.co.jp
