So it’s the last stretch of summer, and you probably want to head out on one last adventure- Burning Man not withstanding. Why not make it Big Sur, the Northern California gem. Its breathtaking vistas of the Pacific Ocean and vast landscape of redwoods alone create for a magical escape- easily one of my favorite escapes anywhere, although this holiday weekend I will be bolting out of LA to The Hamptons- that will stay with you long after you trudge back to the city. If you’ve never been, or have been dying to return, here’s a guide to experience the best nuggets, both new and familiar, of the Highway 1- split region. Are you looking for a token befitting of some spiritual luck? In search of a rustic-chic inn to rest your mind, body, and soul? Or perhaps soak inside those famous hot tubs? You’re in luck, so pack your bags and end your summer right.
