While reading an email from my hair colorist announcing her upcoming move to the uber-hot, recently opened Meche Salon in Beverly Hills, I instantly recited the new number to memory, excited to schedule my coveted appointment. This highly anticipated collaboration- from A-list celebrity hair gurus Tracey Cunningham and Neil Weisberg- was going to be a big deal. A hand-picked team consisting of LA’s top stylists were already in place well before the December opening, bringing along a large following of devotees, myself included.
Meche, which is French for highlight, is slated to be LA’s newest place to see-and-be-seen, and has a makeup artist, brow esthetician, manicurist, and even a Chinese foot masseuse available. The Rodney Ross designed salon evokes a relaxed, or as I call it chill-chic, feel amidst all the hair mania…a beautiful environment to get beautified. Located near the boutique buzz of Robertson Blvd, getting your hair done can now become an all day shopping event. As Tracey can book up for months, ask for Michelle Pugh who learned all of Tracy’s secrets while previously assisting her- and also tends to mine.
