Fresh off its collaboration with Kanye West, the French minimal brand A.P.C. has brought its crisp basics to the Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn’s hipster-ridden Willimasburg. The temporary pop-up shop is housed in The Shop, Wythe Hotel’s ground floor retail space, and is open through September 1. Acting as one of its first in a rotating retail outpost, A.P.C. offers a nice assortment of items that are travel-friendly, including weekenders, totes, backpacks, suede iPad cases, candles, and swimwear, which sit alongside the men’s and women’s spring/summer collections and signature denim.
A.P.C. is the first international brand to occupy this space which caters to Brooklyn locals as well as guests of the hotel. Aside from fancy French jeans, there’s more going on at this cool hotel at the local barbershop or the Chapel on the Roof where gay couples were married over the weekend during New York’s Pride Week. If for some reason Williamsburg isn’t on your to-do list, don’t fret as A.P.C. has three other locations in Manhattan, however their Soho location- where numerous pieces inside my closet came from- is currently closed for renovation. www.wythehotel.com us online.apc.fr
