Hunt and Gather

One of the most inventive museum’s in Paris celebrates the relationships between humans and the natural environment through the traditions and practices of hunting. Mussee de la Chasse- Museum of Hunting and Nature- was founded in 1964 by a wealthy industrialist who was an avid hunter and environmentalist, where weapons, paintings, sculpture and objects d’art related to hunting are curated from a selection of bizarre and fascinating items. Inspired by this eclectic space, Diana- the Roman Goddess of the Hunt- came to mind, wondering if she were around today would she sport these must-have goods that would ensure the chicest- and most practical- of excursions? Well, since Katniss from The Hunger Games is around, my bet is she could win just by this collection alone- although her costumes are pretty fierce. And if she remains on the run, I’d recommend sprinting to Paris and hide out at the Mussee de la Chasse, located in the uber cool Marais. There, she could use her bow and arrow to locate the nearest Brasserie…of course.
