When I think of pinstripes, two images usually flash before my eyes like a stock market ticker, gangsters and bankers- which could really count as one actually- however, this work-day look has had a strong presence on the fall runways. Men inspired style is being embraced these days and the dark pinstripe suit has been reimagined, where ultra feminine designers like Stella McCartney- who dominated the season- are refreshing the stripe for women not only in the board room, but just about every other room a fashionable girl may find herself in. These chic pieces will take you from day to night, uptown to downtown and everywhere else in between…and yes even a baseball game, although those umpires could use a little help with their stripes too. And not to worry…while this power look may shout dapper dude, it wouldn’t be a drag for a real lady to replace her stiletto for an oxford every once in a while – but I would always keep my red lipstick on hand.
