Actresses, models, and artists galore were in attendance at the sixth annual LACMA Art + Film gala on Saturday. Stars gathered in Los Angeles for a seated dinner under the stars to honor Robert Irwin- the Southern California light and space artist- and Kathryn Bigelow- the filmmaker- chaired by LACMA trustee Eva Cow and Leonardo DiCaprio. The gala raised $3.6 million for the museum’s future exhibitions and acquisitions. LACMA is also currently in a fundraising drive to pay for a new $650 million Peter Zumthor-designed building.
Presented by Gucci, the gala brought together more than 550 distinguished guests in art, fashion, and film where the man of the night, creative director Alessandro Michele, was suited up in a colorful tiger-embroidered suit and gold embellished bow tie. Gwyneth Paltrow was one of the few actresses who chose an above the knee hemline; Zoe Saldana had sequined creatures embellished on her silk organdy Gucci; Eva Chow and her daughter Asia stood out in pink tulle Gucci, Selma Hayek was also ablaze in Gucci, and all three Olsen sisters stylishly hosted a table inside a lavish temporary structure that hosted the dinner.
