Tracy Bross-Jaffee is the quintessential New Yorker…who happens to be living in Los Angeles, and loving it. The uber stylish, Upper East Side born and raised interior designer tends to her distinguished clients whose first, second or even third home requires her classically eclectic style and discriminating eye. Tracy has cultivated her successful firm, Tracy Bross Design, for over fifteen years with projects spanning New York, Los Angeles, The Hamptons, The Carribean and Colorado Ski Resorts. Tracy- who formerly designed the interiors for Ralph Lauren’s retail stores- has been published in magazines such as Town and Country, House Beautiful, Hamptons, In Style, and Hamptons Cottage and Gardens. In addition to her design business, Tracy has freelanced as a creative director and stylist for various home furnishings, fashion and beauty companies.
Working on both coasts, Tracy currently resides in New York and Los Angeles… which is where we became friends. On a recent night out in Beverly Hills, we stopped by her best friend’s new home so I could see the finished product of her transformation. She has known Heather Mnuchin since high school in New York, where their friendship not only bridges both cities and The Hamptons, they’ve also worked on a couple of other projects together. Newly divorced, Heather wanted a fresh and feminine space, filled with a white, silver, and lavender palette. Tracy used pieces from Mecox Gardens and Andrew Martin, and discovered beautiful vintage Art Deco cabinets and 50’s vintage chairs from Collection Los Angeles on La Cienega, in conjunction with other elements that came from Mix furniture on La Brea and Nicky Rising showroom. As they both love the beachy/zen/glam aesthetic, it was easy for them to collaborate together…and get it right. www.tracybrossdesign.com
