There is nothing common about Blackman Cruz, and that’s a good thing. This unique and offbeat entity is a resource for LA’s most influential interior designers, movie moguls and rock stars- and a favorite high-end vintage hunting ground for celebrities such as Brad Pitt. A collection of intriguing objects and design, Adam Blackman and David Cruz created their showcase for curiosities 20 years ago with the intention of becoming a distinctive alternative to contemporary minimalism. As one of the chicest antique showrooms in the city- located in a modern gothic 9,000 square foot space that was once an infamous nightclub featured in American Gigolo- Blackman Cruz sources bold one of a kind pieces that specializes in the provocative and eccentric.

Odd industrial antiques, rare collectibles from all over the world, mid-century furniture, accessories, as well as their production line BC Workshop- produced by local artisans and craftsmen- have made prominent clients with extravagant tastes besotted with Blackman Cruz and the difference they bring to the design world. Adam Blackman’s background originated in auction, whereas David Cruz started in illustration and art direction, and peering inside this magnificently curated space you will notice their influences at once. Only these two can do what they do so beautifully, but with a twist of course…as they tend to push it ever so slightly beyond the norm, just the way most Angelenos like it.  www.blackmancruz.com
