Having opened in 2013, the Kayne Griffin Corcoran gallery is the only contemporary art gallery designed by artist James Turrell, the L.A.-born pioneer of the Light and Space movement. The 15,000 square foot space on La Brea Avenue is an exhibition space based in Los Angeles, established under the creative leadership of Maggie Kayne and the primary and secondary market expertise of Bill Griffin and James Corcoran. In 2011, L.A. gallerist Kayne- the sister of local fashion designer Jenni- orchestrated a gallery partnership with notable industry veterans, Griffin and Corcoran, where the dynamic plays to their individual strong suits, with Kayne spearheading programming and scouting fresh talent while her two cohorts broker behind-the-scenes deals.

Embracing characteristics unique to L.A. in both its program and physical space, Kayne Griffin Corcoran provides an outpost for artists, curators, institutions, and galleries from around the world to exhibit in L.A. The artist James Turrell contributed to the design of this stunning gallery, including a conference room Skyscape installation and a private Perceptual Cell chamber hidden in a back room. Additionally, Turrell designed the courtyard to be an oasis from the bustling street smack in the middle of Hollywood. www.kaynegriffincorcoran.com
