Attention all Angelenos, there’s a new hot spot in town that is sure to make everyone fruity with delight. Fig House is an inspired event, photography, and soiree space in Highland Park, an up and coming neighborhood in North East Los Angeles. Currently rented out for parties, weddings, birthdays, premieres, corporate parties, bar mitzvahs, photo shoots, reality shows, and just about any occasion, Fig House is the hospitality project of RoomForty founder Steve Fortunato, who collaborated with designer and stylist Emily Henderson- HGTV Design Star and Home Style Expert. Fortunato parlays his fine dining catering background into something that is fresh in LA’s event venue landscaping.
Fortunato and Henderson have partnered with 30 artists- a rockstar list curated by Danielle Krysa/ The Jealous Curator- and many of their favorite creative companies to provide a space that is totally casual but exciting, and high-end yet approachable. The Fig House looks and feels both fashion forward and grounded in styles that are intrinsic to LA- think 1920’s Hollywood meets 1980’s party meets 2014 Highland Park- as Art Deco is mixed with the urban energy of a burgeoning art scene. The place comes alive with color, where huge sliding glass door windows with stained glass were designed by Judson Studios. The three different spaces within this bespoke venue include a dark, moody lounge filled with vintage furniture; a bright, airy dining space; and a courtyard that is big enough to hold a 300-person wedding.
