When Kelly Lynn Jones graduated from art school, she came up with the concept of gallery-meets-shop-meets-living room where she sought to create a platform from which she and her art school friends could present and sell their work to a wider audience. So in 2004 Little Paper Planes was founded, starting off as an online shop. Jones- an artist and curator originally from Los Angeles- has shown her work all over the US and Europe and as of May, Little Paper Planes opened a brick-and-mortar location in San Francisco’s Mission District which has enabled the company to provide more opportunities in the space including lectures, events, exhibitions and workshops.

Jones stocks affordable artwork, paper goods, limited-edition prints and clothing, as well as accessories such as jewelry, wallets and Ann-Ya mini clutches. Working with more than 70 emerging artists worldwide, she also carries under the radar fashions from the likes of Willow Knows and New York designer Ilana Kohn. Eclectic handmade paper products from the local brand Colpa Press makes Little Paper Planes a one of a kind space that’s been featured in numerous publications and blogs including Nylon Magazine, Lucky Magazine, The New York Times, and Apartment Therapy. Jones has also given lectures at Parsons and the California College of the Arts in San Francisco where she undoubtedly inspires new breeds of creatives who dream of taking off.  www.littlepaperplanes.com
