The Tiger Lily is not only a rare and exotic flower, it also represents the female principals of love, beauty, power and strength which pretty much sums up Antonia Kohl’s lush fragrance collection at her new shop Tigerlily Perfumery. Specializing in niche, indie, and natural perfumes, this eclectic mix of the best perfumes in the world range from classic European houses to emerging local artisans. Tigerlily is the first Bay Area retailer dedicated to this growing market, and Betsy Barron- owner of the boho-chic jewelry atelier Love & Luxe– has given Kohl and her potions a temporary home since November inside her San Francisco space until Tigerlily moves to a permanent location nearby in the Mission district this coming spring.
With bold and bohemian aromas and collections that are named Geisha and Sanae Intoxicants, Tigerlily’s mission is to present well-crafted unique and rare fragrances that bring beauty and joy into people’s lives while smelling divine. Kohl rounded up some really fresh perfume houses for her new venture that are sure to exhilarate and include Yosh, Ineke, MikMoi, Bois 1920, Amouage, I Hate Perfume, Bruno Fazzolari, and Il Profumi di Firenez, among others. If you find yourself sampling some of Kohl’s concoctions, you just may have a fan or two following you down the street asking What’s up Tigerlily? www.loveandluxesf.com
