The French glassmaker Lalique got its start in Alsace, France, an area renowned for its glass-making artists. Reestablishing itself as a brand with modern appeal, Lalique is showcasing their evolving lifestyle via three new interior showrooms in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. Featuring a luxury furniture, accessories and bed linen collection called Lalique Maison, the Beverly Hills space is located on Rodeo Drive and provides exclusive and personal service to their existing clients, as well as international interior designers and architects. The collection includes crystal, perfumes, vases, sculptures and jewelry in addition to bars, credenzas, beds, tables, lamps, a backgammon set and other accessories, as architecture and design is an important aspect of its distinguished heritage.

The Art Deco-inpsired furniture and accessories were designed by Lady Tina Green and Pietro Mingarelli and approximately 140 pieces in the collection are all handmade in Italy. The human hand is the inspiration for both artists and craftsman where details in the products come from the iconic Lalique design such as grapes, swallows and masque de femme. Throw pillows go for $3,400 while a cactus table is priced at $120,000, and Lalique can personalize pieces for any bespoke project such as doors, panels, chandeliers and handrails. The line is meant to be luxurious and livable and because everything is numbered and certified, pieces become collectibles…hopefully as keepsakes. eBay can wait.  www.lalique.com
